MORNING AT NOOSA

We set off early this morning, the car loaded with deck-chairs, beach umbrella, water, cups, hats, swimming gear, books, sunscreen and buckets and spades.

First stop was at Maroochydore for breakfast at a French cafe by the sea.  The owner is actually French so, as you can imagine, the rolls we had our bacon and eggs in were yummy.

After breakfast we jumped in the car and headed the last few kms to Noosa. It was fairly quiet as all the schools are in and it's mid-week and amazingly, we managed to find a park on the main street.

After setting everything up on the beach, wee Fergus with his rashee and sunscreen on made his way down to the edge of the water to play with the wee boat he had been given.  Papa, Auntie Emma and I kept a watch on him to make sure he didn't go too far.

Half way through the morning, Auntie Emma, Fergus and I went back up to the main street to buy some take-a-way coffees and tea and an ice-cream for Fergus and toddled back to the beach.  It was a very relaxing morning.

I took this photograph of Auntie Emma, Papa and Fergus from where I was sitting under the umbrella.  Here's another one looking along the beach.

Now we are home again.  We have had lunch and Auntie Emma has taken Fergus upstairs for a wee rest.  Papa is sitting reading his book and I'm about to do a bit of sewing on my Hebridean quilt.

Tomorrow we're heading up to Maleny for a wee outing.

I saw this photograph on the internet the other day and just loved the pot plants.  On the left, the plant is rosemary and on the right, I think it's a small lemon tree.  I'm thinking something like this would look lovely in my kitchen.  I haven't mentioned to Papa yet, but I'm sure he will think so too and he will plant me up something.

Well, I shall away.  I think when Fergus wakes up we are going to go down to the pool for a wee swim.

Love Nanxxxx
