LOG CABIN QUILT

Hello beautiful girls

I am starting to feel a lot better after my bout of flu!  I still don't have my voice back, but I am coughing and sneezing less.  After my morning chores, I sat down and did some more work on my blue and white log cabin blocks.  I've been using all my 'scraps' from my blue and white boxes and am very pleased with the results.  Papa has said that I must not give this quilt away!  He loves it.

It amazes me how it all comes together and is such fun putting it together too.  I keep thinking that when you are back in Toowoomba, we are going to get cracking with another.  Have a think about which two colours you would like to use.

And...here's where I've got to today.

Can you see the light crosses and the dark crosses?

I still have to put on a couple of borders.  Papa pointed out to me that the quilt as it is, already has a blue border, so I think I will put a beige border on and then a final blue border.  What do you think?

  2. Sounds beautiful. Do you have an idea for the centre block? Or is it going to be various colours too?
